Skittles

This is another long running group having been in existance since the inception of Burnham U3A.

The group currently comprises 30 players and an average of 24 or 25 show up for each meeting.

Meeting consists of three games and the players are split into two teams. There is friendly rivalry between the teams but the games are played essentially for fun and enjoyment.

Meetings are held, and have been for the last 3 or 4 years, at the Lighthouse Inn on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, from 11.00am to 1.00pm whereupon players may partake of a pub lunch.

The leader describes this establishment as an ideal location both for the skittles and for the lunch.

It would be difficult to enlarge the present group much further but, if more players wish to join, there is always the opportunity for someone to start a second group.
