Burnham on Sea U3A

Singing for Pleasure

The Singing for Pleasure group was one of the first to be formed when the U3A started in Burnham.

We now have a large repertoire of songs to which we continuously add.

On special occasions we meet with other U3A groups to sing together.

We also go out and sing at residential homes when invited.

Anyone is welcome. Its great fun singing in a group - why not come and find out for yourself?

UPDATE December '07

This group learns to sing three part harmonies, some light classical and some folk songs. They do really sing for their own pleasure, not a performance group, although they did visit a nursing home where an ex-member was staying! I heard them, and saw their enjoyment at the open day. They welcome new members, even if you sing flat or think you can’t sing. This group also needs a new pianist. Gilli.

Group Leader: Pauline Ayerst

Meetings : 2.15-3.3Opm on 2nd and 4th Fridays at 56 Maple Drive, Burnham on Sea.
