News Letter Editorial Committee

The Editorial Committee aims to produce an informative and entertaining news letter six times a year.

The news letter provides present, and potential U3A members, with information about the Groups, their meeting times and venues as well as the phone numbers of the Group Leaders.

The Editorial Committee meets about three weeks before distribution date of the news letter in order for each member to proof read every page.

When the Copy has been finalised it is taken to the printer and a week after that, the news letters are collected and sorted for distribution by the various volunteers who deliver them in their respective areas.

At the Committee meeting, we also discuss policy, content and layout of the news letter, and also any way in which improvements may be made.

As Editor and group leader, I try to make use of the various talents of members of the group.
